When you mix, you tend to gravitate to one main EQ and compressor for the bulk of your work. I know I do. If that’s the case, then why go through all the trouble of navigating for and inserting the same plugins on each track? Setting them up as your default EQ and compressor in Pro Tools can speed things up and get you mixing faster.

Two other helpful tips for adding EQ and compression (or any other plugin) on every track at once is by holding down the option key whilst you select the plugin you want, this puts that plugin on every single track.
If you highlight a selection of tracks as well (let’s say 8 drum tracks) you can hold down shift+option and select a plugin to just put a plugin on those highlighted tracks.
