Like most of you home studio owners out there, I am also a die hard musician. I am priviledged to lead the band at a rockin’ college church here in Tampa, FL each and every week. I play with some of the most talented and creative guys I’ve ever met and we are free to write and arrange music as we see fit.
Just this week we finally released our latest EP, Prone To Wander, and I thought you readers might appreciate it as it’s music we recorded at my home studio, just like you all are doing every day. You can download the digital EP from iTunes at a reasonable price if you like what you hear. Just click the image below!

Great job Graham! Sounds great from a musicianship and production perspective. I’m really enjoying it.
Thanks Dan. I appreciate it!
Wow! To God be the glory! I’m sure this will touch many hearts in this world that is in so much need. I’m very impressed with this production and wish you all the best as you try to reach out to not only us readers but the whole world! God Bless!

Thanks so much Wendi. It was fun working on it and now being able to share it with others.
Hi Graham! Greetings from Spain! You know you have followers of your blog here too! Here I am as an evidence of how far you music can get. I loved the album. I’m a Christian, there’s not too many here in Spain. I found your blog looking for music making stuff, and I felt very happy and proud when I realized that you are a Christian too. Now I get inspired both in your music making stuff and the passion you show in your songs. I read your blog since 3 weeks ago or so. Few days ago, I sold my Behringer Xenyx X1622 USB that I was using with Logic, and bought a Mbox 2 Pro Factory for only 200$. I’m very happy with that. Now I’ll follow every single tip you posted. ProTools seems to be a little heavy for my Mac Mini. I’m planning to get 4Gb RAM and upgrade it. Right now it has just 1Gb. Hope it will be faster. Do you think it would be nice to get a better hard disk too? Thanks so much! God Bless!
German – thanks for the comment. So glad to have you as reader all the way from Spain! Yes, getting more than 2gb of ram will really help. Then pick up an external firewire drive to record to and you’ll be in better shape! God bless you my friend.
I already have a 500GB USB 2.0 HDD. Not used for recording yet. I’ll try it out. Do you think it’s worth getting a FW HDD? Thanks!
@German – I would at least try it out. While USB drives are not officially supported by Avid, many audio devices are moving to USB 2.0 (including Avid’s Eleven Rack and M-Audio interfaces). Try some recording and mixing with it and see what your computer thinks.
[...] I use for overdrive on my pedal board. I’ve also used it for recording on my band’s recent recording project. But when my amp blew and I didn’t have a backup amp or time to get it fixed before [...]
